Two large scale logistics projects are being prepared for implementation in Kamchatka

The implementation of the largest investment projects in the field of transport infrastructure in Kamchatka will soon begin.

They are the building of a marine terminal for the transshipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the bay of Bechevinskaya by PAO NOVATEK and the modernization of the international airport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The gas transportation project is planned to be implemented in five stages, the last of which will allow processing almost 22 million tons of LNG per year and accept 657 tankers.

Private investments of NOVATEK together with their four foreign partners - French, Japanese and Chinese companies will amount to about a billion US dollars.

Federal investments in creating of infrastructure for this complex will exceed 20 billion rubles.

Private investment in the modernization of the airport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will exceed 12 billion rubles. The largest object of the new airport complex will be a passenger terminal with a total area of ​​47 thousand square meters. It will include a hotel with 120 rooms. In addition, it is planned to build administrative and technical buildings.

The initiator of the project - the management company “Airports of the Regions” announced the beginning of preliminary selection of companies-applicants for further participation in the tender for the construction of a new airport complex. The results of the competition are to be announced on March 2.
